Barack Omulo was born in 1949 in Kenya's Nyanza Province, the ancestral home of the Luo people. He has decades of experience in Luo cultural issues. He believes that the world is yet to fully appreciate the beautiful intricacies of the Luo language.

Alila is a young, vibrant translator and interprator who is passionate about Luo. He also writes in Luo, believeing that this will further the prominence of this East African Language.
